SBi is the Danish national building research institute. SBi merged with Aalborg University in 2007, thereby establishing Denmark’s largest centre for the built environment, Build.aau.

SBi’s mission is to develop research-based knowledge that improves buildings and the built environment and subsequently we disseminate this knowledge.

SBi identifies subjects that are important for professionals and decisions-makers and cooperates with businesses, authorities and organisations that can strengthen the transformation of our knowledge into practice.
